Bio
Thijs joined BioStrand in the summer of 2021 as a Data Engineer. He will be joining forces with the other data engineers developing scalable cloud-based applications on the Biostrand platform.
With over 15 years of experience with Business Intelligence technology as a consultant for organizations like DHL, Rituals and the Dutch Ministry of Interior, Thijs brings broad experience to the team. Thijs started his career developing management dashboards, moved on to reporting and analytics and after a couple of years of working with relational data models, and he was introduced to Big Data and NoSQL in 2013.
With experience building on Azure, Google Cloud and on AWS, Thijs will be advising on the system architecture and cloud-based infrastructure. Supporting the data scientists and further developing the BioStrand core data processes are two of Thijs's daily focus areas.
